Almost forgot to mention it, even though it is sitting on the homepage. Made a new logo! This isn’t meant to replace anything I’ve created before, as in the past I’d designed maybe 4 or 5 variants that “hit different,” depending on mood or whatever it is I’m working on at the time. Because I was in such a nostalgic mood while I worked on GAUNTLET (I know, can’t help but bring it up all the time), my mind was stuck back in those early childhood days.
I’d also been collecting old logos from cable and network television, and always got a kick out of how everyone was into the “shiny chrome” look back then. Figured I’d give it a go, see if I could replicate it and add a little something. Most folks I showed it to seemed to like it, but it does carry a much different tone compared to the playful cute + gross stuff I’d been working on for literally years now. We’ll see if it sticks. And we’ll see how long I’ll continue to stare back at those times. Have I finally gotten everything I needed to get? Time will tell.
